What is World Cancer Day ?
World Cancer Day is a global uniting initiative led every February 4th by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). It is dedicated to reducing the global cancer burden, promoting greater equity, and integrating cancer control into the world health and development agenda.
Every year, hundreds of events and activities are held around the world.
How does Vygon support cancer patients and caregivers?
Vygon stands in solidarity with cancer patients and caregivers, collaborating closely with specialists including anaesthesiologists, surgeons, and nurses to develop innovative solutions. For this World Cancer Day edition, Vygon focused on the important role of nutrition, physical activity, and stress management in both cancer prevention and care. For 2025, Vygon is committed to highlighting different types of profile who are committed to the fight against cancer.
How do these profiles get involved in the fight against cancer?

Guillaume LESAFFRE is a mountaineer who has climbed several mountains to raise awareness to the fight against cancer with his partner Renaud COURTOIS. They climbed 10 peaks over 4,000 metres in 4 days, sponsored by Vygon and the Marie Curie Institute. This project was born in him because many of the people around him have cancer. He decided to get involved in the fight against cancer by publicising his alpine project.

Marine Talandier, known as Marine Illustrations, shares her story—from her diagnosis in 2019 to her metastatic recurrence in 2023. Through art, advocacy, and volunteering with Ose, she raises awareness about cancer. She also highlights the role of physical activity in treatment and introduces her new book to help the public better understand the disease.
