Indication
These syringes are intended to be used in homecare settings and for enteral use only. They can be re-used up to 30 cycles, according with the validated cleaning process stated in the IFU. These syringes are for single-patient use only; they must be re-used on the same patient only.
Description
These Nutrifit enteral syringes are intended for drug and feed administration at home. They can be re-used up to 30 cycles on a single patient only (for the cleaning process, please refer to the IFU).These syringes have the ENFit connection, compliant with ISO 80369-3. As a result, the risk of connection errors between enteral lines and parenteral lines or with devices intended for other clinical applications is prevented and the correct route of administration is respected.
3 volumes are available with the “Low Dose Tip” connection (codes 1012.xx8): 1ml (code 1012.018), 2.5ml (code 1012.028) and 5ml (code 1012.058).
3 volumes are available with the standard ENFit connection (codes 1012.xx7): 10ml (code 1012.107), 20ml (code 1012.207) and 60ml (code 1012.607).
Each syringe is fitted with a purple-coloured plunger and a “Nutrifit VYGON ENTERAL” marking, enabling instant identification for enteral use.
The syringe connection is:
- centred for codes 1012.xx8: 1ml, 2.5ml, 5ml.
- offset for codes 1012.xx7: 10ml, 20ml, 60ml.
The graduation is:
- every 0.01ml for the 1ml syringe (code 102.018),
- every 0.1ml for the 2.5ml syringe (code 1012.028),
- every 0.2ml for the 5ml and the 10ml syringes (codes 1012.058 and 1012.107),
- every 0.5ml for the 20ml syringe (code 1012.207),
- every 1ml for the 60ml syringe (code 1012.607).
As a reminder, these reusable "ENFit Low Dose Tip" and "ENFit" enteral syringes can only be used with ENFit male-tipped devices.
Caution:
- As these syringes are re-usable, they cannot be used on a syringe-driver.
- These syringes are delivered sterile, but they become not sterile after their first use.
